KD is an AU (non-canon) Loveless RP forum. Septimal Moon - the government - has been oppressing its people for decades, prioritising those with written fates in the form of "true names" over those without such fates. Those that are in the know are amassing in retaliation. Will you join the other side of the fray? Or will you side with the superior?
CALLING ALL COUNCILMEN The 7 councilmen of Septimal Moon are about to hold a conference meeting in the Rathaus and discuss current events and future plans for the Capital. Sign-ups end May 15th. Read more about it here.

Each person may have up to 1 major canon per group, and up to three other canons regardless of faction. Only major canons can start out at Tier 4 (power is halved without a sacrifice). Minor canons (like officers) can be anywhere from Tier I to Tier III like normal characters. Canons must be posted with regularly throughout the month. To claim a canon, please post in this thread.
Only sacrifice kismets may be part of the Septimal Moon council, this is due to Septimal Moon regarding Fighters as servants - those who take orders.
Law presides over rules citizens must abide by. Law enforcement and the courts, security and criminal investigation, emergency services (e.g. firefighting), social security, and politics fall under this branch.
The Full Moon is the head councilman, meaning he or she presides over the others. After that, all but the New Moon are equals in terms of authority yet may not assume the same level of authority in another moon's division; only the Full Moon can do such. The New Moon phase is technically not part of the council, but rather serves the council (if fighter) and/or can be an apprentice of the council (if sacrifice). The New Moon takes care of the dirty work behind the scenes by legal or illegal methods. Fighters aren't allowed in certain areas of Septimal Moon HQ, however.
To have Kismets live and prosper in a safe, clean, and orderly environment - free from "Ordinary" oppression. To quell anything that gets in their way of providing such for their people. To expand their knowledge and achieve greater heights in medicine and technology.
Extortion generally deals with the more aggressive aspects of Betelgeuse, from enforcing their “laws” to sniping enemies off. If Information is considered the brains of the group, then extortion is considered the brawns. They hit hard and fast.
Betelgeuse was once a traditional mafia. Over the years, they had become the backbone and system to the Outskirts. Now, with more reason to take up arms against the Capital, they resemble a terrorist group more.
Betelgeuse goals vary greatly, though a good amount can agree on one thing: things need to change. It has been nearly 50 years since the outskirts have been quarantined, and 30 years since they've been deemed "safe," and yet here they are: still suffering, still on the other side of the wall. Some don't like the oppression toward ordinaries and fighters. Some just want to live without worry of how they'll get water and food every single day. Some want to be taken in by the capital, some want the capital to fix the outskirts, some want to become autonomous from the capital, and so on...

Members of Betelgeuse take on the identities of a tarot card that suits them as a person, often using a mask that represents their identity while on the job for the sake of anonymity. Capital law enforcements and other entities often refer to these masked beings by the number of their card rather than the card’s name to make it more ambiguous as to what they’re talking about (e.g. “we came across someone with a grim mask. We believe it could be either 12, 13, or 15,” 12 being Hanged Man, 13 being Death, and 15 being Devil). Kingpins and officers may be any tarot card.
The listed are roles within Betelgeuse. These are not mandatory, and are meant more to inspire. There may be only 5 members per group. Any role not listed as “kingpin” may become an officer if the application questions are answered appropriately and convincingly. A hacker must have access to the capital and capital education. To see what roles and groups are available, please refer to the claims list.
